Jim’s musical philosophy is all about having fun along with a passion for music no matter what genre it may be. Jim is happy to be making music with “The Groove Doctors” a band that gets you up off your seat all night long, that is what it is all about.
Jim was fortunate enough to be in a band called the “Gropus Cackus” that had 3 hits; 2 of them on the Bell Record Label. They opened for several name acts, such as Santana, John Lee Hooker, Sly and the Family Stone, Tower of Power Boz Skaggs, Ike and Tina Turner etc. Jim still records with members of the band to this day.

He has played in original bands and many cover bands over the years and can play a wide variety of styles. He began playing in school band, but after hearing Led Zeppelin, he quickly switched to bass and was ready to rock. His early loves were The Beatles, Crosby Stills Nash And Young, Ike and Tina Turner, Earth Wind And Fire, and the entire Motown catalog before diving into hard rock. Eric played in several Classic Rock bands that also played some R&B in their sets. He then joined Big Al,s Heart and Soul, a large R&B show band. The band played many large venues and corporate parties. Eric was happy to join The Groove Doctors with their wide selection of upbeat, danceable R&B and rock songs.

Vanessa has been dazzling audiences since age five. Her love of lyrics and passion for communicating propelled her sing anywhere she could as a child: talent shows, school choirs, musicals, you name it. By middle school she was directing, writing for, and performing with a singing telegram troop. In her college years, Vanessa sang full-time at California’s Great America as Pebbles Flinstone, complete with bone-in-hair costume! Since joining the Bay Area live music scene 15 years ago, Vanessa has been part of several rock bands and collaborated with acoustic musicians on stage as well as in the studio.
A shameless pop-princess at heart, Vanessa credits her vocal style and prowess to the powerhouse “greats”: Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, and Christina Aguilera to name a few.
When she’s not on the mic reminding you to tip your bartenders, Vanessa can be found hiking and running dirt trails, overbooking her calendar, and sipping pinot noir. Her secret goal is to sing a duet with Pink while they Crossfit.

Michael Peloquin was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois, on the far south side of Chicago. He migrated west to San Francisco in 1984.
Michael plays tenor, baritone and alto saxophones plus diatonic and chromatic harmonicas. He also is lead & harmony vocalist as well as an arranger & composer.
He has performed, toured the world and recorded with masters of Blues and R&B such as: Jeff Beck, Albert King, Ernest Ranglin, John Lee Hooker, Jr., Narada Michael Walden, Johnnie Johnson, E.C. Scott, Larry Davis, Tommy Castro, Chris Cain, Sy Klopps, Mitch Woods and John Nemeth. These experiences have been an education in American roots music that has helped to form his melting- pot sound, as witnessed on his extensive discography.
The last two decades have found Michael in demand as an R&B horn section arranger and soloist. This led to a renewed interest in his first love; the harmonica. Up until this time Michael could always be found playing harmonica, walking, driving, anywhere. Sadly, somehow this obsession faded over time. A rekindled faith in “The People’s Instrument” was realized upon becoming a featured soloist in the renowned Sy Klopps Blues Band in the Nineties.. The culmination of this renaissance found Michael in Germany, winning the Gold Medal in Hohner’s bi-annual International Harmonica Festival & Competition in 1997.
He has released a CD of original tunes entitled House of Cards on the Globe Records label. It has been described as an intriguing medley of swamp blues and horn drenched funk.
Two new instructional DVD’s, one on harmonica and one on saxophone are planned for release in early 2013 in conjuction with guitarcontrol.com.
Michael is currently freelancing in the Bay Area and touring the world playing R&B, Blues, New Orleans, Country and Big Band music. His website is http://www.harpsax.com.
